We are excited to invite applications to join our Digital Data, Dashboards & Measurement team. As a Data Architect lead, this role will enable you to understand the business we support and will be responsible to lead a team of engineers to ensure data needs to meet business demands in digital marketing and e-commerce
The teams work on the latest data technologies in the Cloud space including BigQuery, Apache Airflow, Snowflake, Apache Spark and more.
This position will be passionate about building out and leading the vision for our data warehouse, data integration, or machine learning automation projects in various cloud environments for digital marketing and e-commerce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the conceptual, logical and physical data models to achieve success for the digital marketing and e-commerce teams
- Be the main liaison between business teams and the engineering team to drive data integration requirements to help realize our marketing e-commerce data platform and rollout initiatives.
- Define and build the ETL/ELT and data pipelines to enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business
- Implement solutions to enable a stable architecture for collecting robust data sets
- Responsible for the maintenance, improvement, cleaning, and manipulation of data in the data platform and analytics databases
- Build reports / analysis on existing consumer and e-commerce data across a number of enterprise applications
- Work with data analytics teams, data scientists, and software engineers in order to understand and aid in the implementation of database requirements, analyze performance, and solve any issues
- Develop and present solutions and recommendations to business and GIT teams
- Sharing knowledge with other GIT members, education and training to resolve issues and remove project barriers
- Act as an agent of change to help drive data standard methodologies and driving the concept of data as an asset
- Support the rollout of an enterprise wide data governance framework with a focus on the improvement of data quality and the protection of critical data
Basic requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, information management, or statistics or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
- Good knowledge of programming languages, software tools and analytical methods
- Experience with SQL or equivalent database querying language
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical problem solver who can successfully identify, fix and solve problems
Preferred requirements:
- Experience identifying, quantifying, and effectively raising business risks associated with data quality or non-compliance
- Experience in data architecture, system development, business analysis or a related IT field
- Exposure to tools used to support data management including data profiling and data quality
