This job entails checking IDs, opening doors for people and greeting guests as they enter and thanking them as they depart. Additionally, the Doorperson is responsible for assisting guests into ubers or taxis, ensuring guests depart quietly and safely. An important aspect of the job is ensuring the safety of guests.

Should be an energetic individual who enjoys interacting with people throughout the night. Must be both personable and have the assertiveness to enforce compliance with safety and established rules. The following skills are essential to job performance:
- Proper etiquette –be polite and friendly, make people feel at ease right away. Greet everyone who comes in, use interpersonal sensitivity to proactively offer services when needed
- Customer service – committed to creating an excellent customer experience, doorpeople answer inquiries thoroughly and accommodate requests while remaining firm about rules and policies
- Safety awareness – must be able to recognize signs of potential danger and enforce safety measures, drawing from knowledge of self-defense, disaster response, and first aid
- Physical stamina – because this job requires standing for several hours regardless of the weather, physical stamina is vital.
- Attention to detail – being observant is key, monitor restaurant premises, and everybody coming & going. Beyond safety concerns, remembering details to connect better with guests.
