Application Integration Architect (AWS)
Locations: Dallas, TX or Akron, OH (Hybrid)
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Application Integration Architect to design, develop, and maintain robust integration solutions leveraging AWS services and event-driven architectures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in asynchronous publish-subscribe integration patterns, canonical data models, and Node.js development. This role requires a deep understanding of modern integration strategies, cloud-native technologies, and best practices for scalable, resilient, and secure system integrations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement event-driven and asynchronous integration solutions using AWS services and Node.js.
- Develop and maintain publish-subscribe patterns for seamless data exchange across systems.
- Define and enforce best practices for canonical data models to ensure consistency and reusability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, resilient, and high-performance integration solutions.
- Optimize and enhance existing integrations, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud computing, API management, and event-driven architectures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system performance.
- Monitor integration processes and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Ensure integrations are scalable, secure, and reliable
- Mentor and lead junior developers on integration projects
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in application integration architecture
- Proven experience in application integration architecture and design.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (e.g., SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, etc.).
- Proficiency in Node.js for building serverless and cloud-native applications.
- Deep understanding of asynchronous messaging patterns, event-driven architecture, and publish-subscribe models.
- Experience working with canonical data models to standardize data exchange across systems.
- Familiarity with API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
