Rice University seeks an accomplished and ambitious leader to serve in the critically important role of Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Operations, Finance and Support and serving as a member of the Cabinet, the CIO is a key leader in supporting the University's research, academic and administrative systems, other core applications and voice, network and computing infrastructure across the Rice community.

This pivotal role requires an innovative, creative leader who will engage with academic and administrative leaders and offer a data-driven approach to the OIT function and its ability to drive transformative change across the University.
Designing and implementing the strategy for technology's support of research computing will be a key priority for the CIO as OIT will be a key enabler for the University's ambitions in this area. Overall, OIT is an integral part of Rice and works with other campus groups to support the University's mission through innovative uses of technology and service excellence.
