Job Description:
- The Penetration Tester will perform comprehensive security assessments of web applications, networks, and systems.
- This includes identifying vulnerabilities, simulating potential security breaches, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve the organization's security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct penetration testing on various platforms, including web applications, networks, and systems.
- Identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities to simulate real-world cyber threats.
- Present findings effectively, including the use of business intelligence tools for reporting.
- Generate and track metrics independently.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, testing tools, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement and verify solutions.
- Conduct on-site testing at remote locations as needed (monthly travel).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in penetration testing.
- Certifications specific to penetration testing (e.g., OSCP, CEH, GPEN).
- Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus).
- Knowledge of the NIST cybersecurity framework is a plus.
- Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations clearly.
- Organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to perform after-hours testing when required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with business intelligence tools.
- Proven ability to pivot quickly and handle fluctuating schedules effectively.
