We are looking for a skilled System Administrator with expertise in Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) support to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting secure communications systems critical to national security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Maintain, install, and monitor DRSN networks and cryptographic equipment (e.g., KIV-7M, IST, STE, STU-III).
✔ Provide Tier 1-3 support for DRSN systems, addressing user requests and diagnosing technical issues.
✔ Perform software and firmware upgrades, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
✔ Offer initial and recurring training for DRSN users on secure communications procedures.
✔ Maintain accurate inventory records and update system documentation.
✔ Ensure 24/7 operational readiness, working in rotating shifts as needed.
✔ Utilize REMEDY ticketing systems to track and resolve system issues.
✔ Research, recommend, and implement new hardware and software solutions for system enhancements.
✔ Support secure conferencing operations and troubleshoot communication issues.
✔ Perform hands-on tasks such as cabling, hardware replacement, and network configuration in server rooms.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
✅ U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance
✅ DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, CND, SSCP)
✅ Experience with telephone systems, PBX, and secure voice communications
✅ 1+ year of experience in DRSN system administration or related field
✅ Familiarity with cryptographic devices, COMSEC procedures, and secure networking
✅ Ability to work in noisy, confined spaces, and physically demanding environments
✅ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations
Preferred Qualifications:
➤ DSS-2A Certification for secure communications systems
➤ 3+ years of experience with DRSN maintenance and cryptographic equipment
➤ Experience with secure voice conferencing and communication protocols
➤ Background in operations planning and real-time system management
➤ Ability to create and deliver technical training for personnel
