Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a System Administrator at Hawaii Tech Support. The System Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as system administration, troubleshooting, technical support, network administration, and information technology. The role is located in Honolulu, HI, with some work from home flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support via phone, email, or chat.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
- Install, configure, and update systems and applications.
- Maintain technical documentation and user guides.
- Set up new users and manage permissions.
- Educate users on best practices to improve productivity.
- Perform basic network administration tasks.
- Support IT infrastructure upgrades and technology rollouts.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure the integrity, security, and performance of IT systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a system administrator or similar role.
- Proficient in Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with RMM tools.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with remote desktop applications and helpdesk software.
- Certifications like CompTIA A+, Security+, or MCP are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
