This position involves providing hands-on support for hardware and software issues, managing and securing endpoint devices, and assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes. Responsibilities include installing and configuring applications, monitoring and resolving system issues, managing IT assets, and performing routine maintenance. The role also involves writing scripts for system management, troubleshooting third-party software, and collaborating on IT projects. Additionally, the job requires conducting system audits, developing network architecture, and ensuring compliance with PCI and CIS frameworks.
50% of your time you will be doing:
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 hands-on support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Manage, maintain, and secure all endpoint devices within the organization's network.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including setting up and decommissioning accounts, devices, and access permissions.
• Install and configure desktop applications and operating systems.
• Monitor the incident ticketing system and work on assigned tickets.
• Monitor and optimize system health.
• Identify and resolve system problems, demonstrating persistence and resourcefulness.
• Manage structured cabling, connectivity, and hardware installations to ensure seamless operations.
• Conduct system audits to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization.
• Manage IT assets
• Write and maintain scripts to improve system management tasks
• Assist in the configuration and troubleshooting of integrated third-party software and peripherals
50% of your time will be doing:
• Perform routine system maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.
• Configure and manage servers in a virtual environment
• Manage multiple IT-related products and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT solutions that meet business requirements.
• Contribute to and lead IT projects, assisting with the development of network architecture design, implementation, and management
• Develop, maintain, and document the current environment and SOPs
• Implement policies, procedures, work instructions, and technologies for PCI compliance and the CIS framework
Required Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
• 5+ years of Information Technology support and/or Information Technology system engineering
• Demonstrated experience with various Operating systems, Active Directory, DHCP, virtualization, networking, and compliance frameworks
• Previous experience providing direct end-user support – Tier 1 or 2
Skills
• Design, configure, and manage network systems, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi.
• Design, configure, and manage server infrastructure, including virtualization technologies and stand-alone systems.
• Experience with backup and restore technologies.
• Networking concepts (VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS) and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, command line).
• Proficiency with monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Skilled in managing multiple IT projects, migrations, and upgrades, ensuring timely delivery.
• Effective communicator with stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
• Commitment to proactive system maintenance and innovative improvement strategies.
• Superb communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or similar are a plus
Skills
• Understanding cybersecurity concepts such as vulnerability and risk assessment, security controls, confidentiality, and incident response
• Working knowledge of IBM mid-range systems
• Experience with SharePoint Site Administration
• Experience with Mobile Device Management
• Foster a desire to continue to learn and advance personal IT knowledge

This position is based out of our headquarters office, south of downtown St. Paul. We welcome an on-site work environment Monday through Friday. The hours for this position are either 7:30 – 4:30 or 8:00 – 5:00.
Compensation
Scanlan International, Inc. offers competitive pay that aligns with the local market in which we operate. We value performance and recognize it during our annual merit review process. The pay range for this role is $74,800 – $131,000 annually. The salary range for this position is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
