Role Overview: The BDR will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential customers, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and setting the stage for our sales team to close new business. This is a high-impact, customer-facing position, ideal for someone passionate about cybersecurity and eager to play a key role in the success of a startup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify target companies within the cybersecurity industry and related verticals.
- Utilize various tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Salesforce, ZoomInfo) to prospect and generate new business opportunities.
- Initiate outbound outreach (email, phone, social media) to engage with decision-makers, understand their pain points, and qualify them as potential leads.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, tracking activities in CRM.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to optimize messaging and ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies.
- Assist in scheduling product demos and meetings between qualified leads and senior sales representatives.
- Provide valuable feedback to the product and marketing teams regarding customer challenges and market trends.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation and appointment-setting targets.
What You’ll Bring:
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation, preferably in the tech or cybersecurity industry.
- Strong interest and understanding of the cybersecurity space, its challenges, and the solutions available.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly over email, phone, and video calls.
