Key Responsibilities for the Network Administrator:
- Network Administration: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and group policies.
- Virtualization Support: Act as the go-to resource for VMware environments, providing support and guidance as needed. (Note: VMware is not the primary focus, but expertise is valuable.)
- Backup & Recovery: Administer and troubleshoot Veeam backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Network Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and hubs to ensure optimal network performance and security.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across diverse environments.
- Project Work: Participate in IT projects, including Network upgrades, migrations, and new installations, ensuring successful delivery.
- Client Interaction: Provide excellent customer service to clients, communicating technical information clearly and professionally.
Required Skills & Qualifications for our Network Administrator:
- Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
- Knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies, with the ability to serve as the subject matter expert.
- Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication solutions.
- Familiarity with network hardware including routers, switches, and hubs, along with basic networking principles.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills for our Network Administrator:
- Familiarity with firewalls and network security best practices.
- Experience with cloud solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
- Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, or CompTIA Network+ are beneficial.
