Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Network Consultant with expertise in
Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) to join our team in Kansas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure solutions with a focus on Cisco ACI. This role requires a U.S. citizen with a proven track record in large-scale network projects and a deep understanding of enterprise-level networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design & Architecture:
- Design and implement Cisco ACI-based solutions for enterprise environments.
- Develop scalable and secure network architectures aligned with business needs.
- Implementation & Integration:
- Configure and deploy Cisco ACI infrastructure, including APIC controllers, leaf, and spine switches.
- Integrate ACI with existing data center environments and third-party solutions.
- Performance Optimization:
- Analyze network performance and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure network solutions adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Implement security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless networking solutions.
- Provide expert-level guidance to IT teams and mentor junior network engineers.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for network designs, configurations, and operational processes.
- Prepare reports on network performance, issues, and recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience:
- 10–15 years of experience in networking, with a focus on Cisco ACI for at least 5 years.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of Cisco ACI architecture, components, and configurations.
- Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, VLANs, VRFs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Hands-on experience with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE (Data Center or Enterprise).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in hybrid cloud networking environments.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN, firewalls, and network security best practices.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
