Your Opportunity
The
IT System Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting and optimizing our technology environment. Working closely with the IT Manager, this role is responsible for the administration of our systems, troubleshooting technical challenges, and assisting with new platform rollouts. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have a strong problem-solving approach, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team to ensure high-quality IT services across the organization.
What you will do
- Collaborate with the IT Manager to manage and optimize applications, including Microsoft 365, AWS, and other cloud services.
- Support endpoint management for Windows and macOS devices using Microsoft Intune and Jamf.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline IT processes and improve efficiency.
- Resolve higher-tier IT tickets, providing technical support and solutions to complex organizational issues.
- Assist in managing identity and access solutions, such as Azure Active Directory, Entra, and conditional access policies.
- Implement security measures and best practices in coordination with the Information Security team.
- Manage patching processes and address vulnerabilities to maintain system security and stability.
- Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) settings in Azure AD to enhance user access and security.
- Configure firewalls, VPNs, and other network security measures to protect infrastructure.
- Partner with the IT Manager on planning and rolling out new platforms and technology initiatives.
- Support Cloudflare integration and configurations for network security and performance.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for configurations, processes, and IT policies.
What will make you successful here
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration with exposure to various applications and services.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus
- Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 cloud services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Jamf for managing Windows and macOS devices.
- Understanding of identity and access management solutions, such as Azure Active Directory and Entra.
- Experience with additional automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) is a bonus.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and network security settings.
- Knowledge of AWS and Cloudflare integration, with a focus on security.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
