Role: L3 System Administrator
Location : Virginia
NOTE : Focused on Windows and VmWare
JOB DESCRIPTION:
General Purpose:
- The primary purpose of the role is to provide Level 3 (L3) support for Windows and VMware systems. This includes handling complex technical issues that cannot be resolved at lower levels of support (L1 or L2).
- The individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of systems and programs that support certification, accreditation, system implementation, and compliance (specifically for Information Assurance, or IA).
System Administration & Technical Support:
- Act as the System Administrator (SA) for multiple systems and programs, ensuring that support needs are met across all stages, including system certification, implementation, operation, maintenance, and compliance.
- Serve as a technical expert for the design, implementation, installation, and maintenance of the Storage Area Network (SAN), Backup systems, and Endpoint protection architecture within Windows/VMware environments.
- Provide support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) as needed, ensuring the security and compliance of the system.
- Manage administrator and service accounts, and maintain system documentation.
- Perform system tuning (optimizing system performance) and install critical software or patches.
- Allocate mass storage space to ensure systems have sufficient capacity
