In-Person Interview**
Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. A Master's Degree is preferred.
General Experience: Must have seven (7) years of experience in the IT field.
Specialized Experience: At least five (5) years of combined new and related older technical experience in the IT field directly related to the required area of expertise.
Personnel Preferred Experience
1. 5 years ‘experience in relevant IT platforms including Cybersecurity, ESRI, SalesForce, Oracle Cloud, SQL Cloud, Talend Cloud, Azure, etc. relevant to requested subject matter.
2. A thorough understanding of the specific IT domain they specialize in and that meet the requested subject need (e.g., networking, cybersecurity, database management, software
development, cloud computing, etc).
3. Proficiency in relevant programming languages, tools, and technologies.
4. Possess a combination of technical expertise, communication skills, and domain knowledge in the requested IT field within the Transportation Industry.
5. 3-5 years’ experience with MS Power Platform, Azure, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lakes, Data Bricks, Dataverse, ESRI, Cloud computing, etc.
Substitution of Education for Experience
A bachelor’s degree or higher may be substituted for the general and specialized experience for those labor categories requiring a High School Diploma. A master’s degree may be substituted
for two years of general and specialized experience for those labor categories requiring a bachelor’s degree. Substitution shall be reviewed and approved by the State at its discretion.
Substitution of Experience for Education
A. Substitution of experience for education may be permitted at the discretion of the State.
B. Substitution of Professional Certificates for Experience:
C. Professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, SQL Certified Database Administrator) may be substituted for up to two (2) years for general and specialized
experience at the discretion of the State.
