JCW is currently partnered with a growing insurance firm looking to bring a Senior IT Auditor onto their team. This role will be instrumental in supporting our growth by ensuring the security, efficiency, and compliance of our IT systems and processes. As Senior IT Auditor, you will play a critical role in evaluating and improving the IT control environment, working closely with IT, compliance, and risk management teams. This is a hybrid work opportunity with 3 days in the firm's Austin, TX office.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct IT audits to assess the design and effectiveness of IT controls, covering areas such as cybersecurity, data privacy, infrastructure, and application controls
- Evaluate IT risk management practices and make recommendations to strengthen our overall risk posture
- Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to understand processes, identify potential risks, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports and communicate findings to senior management and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT auditing, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CPA are strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of IT general controls, cybersecurity, and risk management frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001)
