The Solutions Architect will design and implement technology solutions within a defined business or technology domain. Utilizing expertise in project management, IT service management, application integration, data, and security, this role provides architectural designs that meet organizational needs. With minimal supervision, the Solutions Architect is a subject matter expert across various technical disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners to validate business and technical requirements, translating them into comprehensive architectural blueprints that align with business objectives.
- Document all solution architecture designs and analysis work.
- Analyze business drivers and capabilities to craft enterprise solution designs that support organizational outcomes.
- Maintain and assess the current solution portfolio, identifying gaps or misalignments with business requirements.
- Provide input on end-of-life decisions for products and systems, including maintenance, upgrades, or retirement.
- Conduct advanced analyses of emerging technology trends, market disruptions, and their application to evolving business models.
- Evaluate competitors and industry trends to assess their implications for the organization's technology strategy.
- Contribute to the selection and configuration of software standards and services.
- Provide expertise to ensure application and infrastructure projects align with architectural standards and, when necessary, adjust designs to accommodate solution requirements.
- Develop architectural designs that guide solution development for applications, technologies, processes, and information systems.
- Ensure alignment of projects or products with overall enterprise architecture.
- Provide targeted consultation on specific technologies, platforms, and vendor solutions.
- Deliver reference models, standards, and architectural designs to support governance and ensure the business impact of technology investments is understood.
- Contribute to the Solutions Architecture Community of Practice (CoP) and guide teams on enterprise architecture alignment.
- Assist with architectural governance activities and ensure compliance with established standards.
- Help define and uphold enterprise principles, guidelines, and solution patterns to align decisions with future-state architecture visions.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Equivalent education, training, or experience may also be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in architecture, software engineering, systems engineering, project management, or business analysis. Equivalent education, training, or experience will be considered.
