Position Overview
Riverside Research is seeking a personable and highly technical individual to fill the role of Systems Administrator, capable of providing information technology support to groups performing cutting-edge research supporting national security interests. In this junior to mid-level position, a successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise to maintain IT systems in several distributed classified computing environments. This position will support both our Beavercreek, OH and Manhattan, NY offices, but can be located full-time in either location.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support of a VMware based environment that includes Windows and Linux virtual machines
- Coordinate with tier 3 functional roles within the information technology team when needed
- Capability to troubleshoot complex information technology problems using all available resources
- Develop new and maintain existing installation and configuration procedures
- Apply security updates/patches to all systems
- Remediate monthly compliance scans
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
- Coordinate all significant information technology changes with the appropriate parties such as management, infrastructure, and information security
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a systems administrator
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years’ experience, an advanced degree with no experience, or equivalent work experience
- Experience installing, upgrading, and configuring software and hardware
- Ability to manage time independently without direct supervision
- DoD 8140 (451) Systems Admin - Intermediate Certification (Security+ or Equivalent)
- Active Top-Secret (or higher) USG Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience across traditional IT stack (Clients, Networking, Servers, Storage)
- Experience installing and configuring Linux operating systems
- Implemented STIGS on Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI adjudication

$65,000 - $110,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
