Primary Function
The CITO leads CHCB’s technology strategy and operations. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology including IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, software development, and data management. Manages and directs CHCB IT staff and IT vendors. The CITO is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains and continues to develop CHCB’s existing IT plan and infrastructure, while also anticipating and preparing for future IT needs and solutions.
- Develops and implements CHCB's technology roadmap and strategies.
- Develops short-term & long-term information technology strategies.
- Oversees IT operations, including network infrastructure, security systems, and software development.
- Leads a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Evaluates new technologies and makes recommendations for upgrades and enhancements.
- Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborates with other executives to align technology with business objectives.
- Drives innovation and digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
- Monitors IT performance metrics and KPIs, makes adjustments as needed to meet organizational goals.
- Maintains and improves agency’s EHR, eClinicalWorks (eCW).
- Informs and directs IT related purchases, purchase proposals and vendor contract negotiations.
- Works with Executive Leadership Team to identify systems/applications that meet both current operational and planned expansion needs.
- Develops technology use policies, procedures and guidelines. Develops training materials for end-users.

Physical Demands: Requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping. Significant job stress may be associated with the position. Evening work may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Ten (10) years of experience in IT in a management role.
- Extensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing technological solutions to achieve business goals.
- Able to convey complex technical concepts and solutions to broad audiences, including medical providers and administrators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Extensive years of experience in IT, preferably in Health Care, with at least fifteen (15) years in an Executive leadership role such as Chief Information Officer.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
