As Senior IT Systems Administrator (End-User Services and Collaboration Platforms), you will be part of our IT Infrastructure and End-User Services team and will manage, configure, and support enterprise productivity tools, collaboration platforms, and end-user services. The position emphasizes scaling enterprise applications to meet business demands, leveraging automation to enhance operational efficiency, and driving adoption of Microsoft platforms to improve productivity and collaboration across the organization. Basic administration of Okta Identity and Access Management (IAM), including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and group management, is also a critical component of this role.
What You’ll Do
- Manage, configure, and support enterprise productivity and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Azure Directory Services, Intune, and Autopilot.
- Administer and optimize enterprise platforms like Atlassian Suite, including Jira Service Management, ServiceNow ITSM or Hardware Asset Management, SmartSheets, and Lucid Charts to enhance team workflows and productivity.
- Perform basic Okta IAM administration, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, group management, and integrating applications into single sign-on using SAML and OAuth.
- Monitor and manage licensing for Microsoft and other enterprise applications to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
- Develop and implement scripts and automation using tools like PowerShell or Python to streamline operational tasks, improve system efficiency, and support scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to end-user services, enterprise applications, and system access to maintain optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, addressing risks and implementing updates, patches, and optimizations as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, implement, and integrate new end-user technologies and solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, workflows, and best practices, and deliver end-user training to support adoption and usability.
- Support incident and problem management processes, occasionally providing on-call or after-hours support on a rotational basis when required.
Requirements
Education/Experience and Other Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Ideal candidate has one or more relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Okta Certified Administrator, CompTIA Network+ or Security+, ITIL v4 Foundations), or higher level certifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and optimizing enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Azure Directory Services, Intune, and Autopilot.
- Familiarity and experience administering Okta IAM, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, group management, and single sign-on (SSO) integrations using SAML and OAuth.
- Proven proficiency in scripting and automation with tools like PowerShell or Python to streamline operational tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Exposure to configuring or administering enterprise collaboration and management platforms such as Atlassian (e.g., Jira Service Management, Confluence), ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of software license management for enterprise applications to ensure compliance and cost optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently in enterprise applications and end-user services.
- Ability to monitor system performance, availability, and security, with a focus on proactive risk identification and resolution.
- Experience with creating and maintaining documentation for system configurations, workflows, and processes.
- Familiarity with integration and workflow automation platforms such as Workato or similar tools is preferred.
- Working knowledge of endpoint security tools such as SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, or comparable agents is beneficial.
- End-user knowledge of ITSM platforms for incident, service request management, and change management documentation (e.g., Jira Service Management, ServiceNow) is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their integration with enterprise tools is beneficial.
- Exposure to enterprise telephony systems like Microsoft Teams Phone or similar platforms is beneficial.
