Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and organized Back Stock Associate to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the efficient handling, storage, and replenishment of inventory in the stockroom. You’ll work behind the scenes to maintain organized back stock areas, support the sales floor team with product availability, and ensure timely restocking of shelves.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming deliveries in the stockroom.
- Accurately label and store items to ensure efficient access and tracking.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock shortages or discrepancies to management.
Restocking and Merchandising:
- Replenish shelves, displays, and other sales areas with products from back stock.
- Rotate products based on expiration dates or other standards (e.g., first-in, first-out).
- Assist in setting up promotional displays and seasonal stock changes as needed.
Organization and Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and orderly stockroom by following organizational systems.
- Ensure all back stock areas are free from hazards and comply with safety standards.
- Regularly check for damaged or expired items and report them to the appropriate team.
Team Support:
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure products are readily available.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits to ensure accurate tracking.
- Help with special projects, such as holiday stocking or large-scale product changes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or retail environment is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 lbs]).
- Basic understanding of inventory systems (experience with POS software is a bonus).
