Under general supervision, applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive automated engineering solution. Engineer, design, install, configure, and optimize IT systems based on DMEA requirements. Have the ability to apply technical knowledge of networks, operating systems, applications, and utilities to the DMEA environment. Evaluate and determine computing resource requirements for ongoing and future DMEA projects. At a minimum the Systems Administrator will be required to perform and support the following tasks:
• Administration and management of backup and recovery solution. Maintaining, configuring, designing and implementing backup policies, monitoring and troubleshooting backup operations and ensuring data integrity and recoverability. Environment is virtualized using Hyper-V, VMware Vsphere integrated with Avamar. Strong background desired in backup and recovery principles and familiarity with data protection regulations and policies.
• Virtualization platforms, such as: Installation, Configuration and Administration of Hyper-V VMware, V-Motion, Storage V-Motion, ESX/ESXi and Network/Storage IO Control, Port groups, VLAN networking and NIC teaming on VMware, Creation, Management and Configuration of Virtual Machines, Clone and Templates, Snapshot manager and restoring of snapshots, etc.

• Patch management with WSUS and MECM/SCCM.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
• Provide escalation support per request from various sources; investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted parties.
