SUMMARY: Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions. Work within a cloud environment, focusing on maintenance and configuration tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Under the direct supervision of the I.T Director this position will also be assigned tasks related to IT projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical assistance and support to users for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Respond to queries over the phone, in person, or by email.
• Walk users through problem-solving process.
• Follow-up with users to ensure issues have been resolved.
• Maintain performance of computer systems.
• Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Setup and configure PCs using Windows Autopilot.
• Install computer peripherals.
• Setup and configure iPhones & iPads.
• Create user accounts in Active Directory within a hybrid environment.
• Work within the Microsoft cloud environment (Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Microsoft 365, Exchange, & SharePoint/Teams).
• Monitor and resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN).
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based printing (PaperCut Hive).
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based phone system (RingCentral).
• Work with network connected access control and security camera systems.
• Work with various other third-party cloud-based applications and platforms.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace
• Knowledge of Dell products
• Knowledge of Apple products
• Create How-Tos and training materials.
• Train computer users.
• Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment.
• Research IT products and services, provide findings, and request quotes.
• Other duties as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Point of contact for helpdesk issues.
• Coordinate IT work with IT Lead.
• Contributes to harmonious and constructive working relationships with all staff members to promote a positive and productive atmosphere.
• Promotes a teamwork approach by offering information and assistance to all staff members in a positive, courteous, and cooperative manner.
• Ensures the confidentiality of client contract and employee information.
• Ensures compliance with all Go Kids procedures.
• Responsible for job cross training.
• Eager to learn and work with new technology.
• Recommend improvements to current practices within the IT arena.
• Apprised of current regulations, trends, and practices with regards to IT.
• Uses equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, follows established safety procedures, uses appropriate safeguards, and observes common sense rules of safety in all on-the-job activities.
• Assist with additional support as needed by all Go Kids' child development centers and offices.
• Conducts self in manner reflecting credit on Go Kids and encourages others to do the same.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Associate degree (AS) in Computer Science or a related field, or
• Equivalent on-the-job experience in a business and/or non-profit environment, or
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent
• Experience in an IT arena essential.
• Possess a valid CA driver's license and pass criminal record clearances.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures with conformance to the prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from government entities, employees, managers, clients, and the public.
REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables, occasionally in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
