My client are a vastly growing start-up who are has recently received millions of dollars of backing in the US. Due to this they are looking to create their London office with a sales team including a Pre-Sales Engineer/Project Engineer/Solutions Engineer to be involved in all the technical pre-sales and post-sales tasks. They will be the first person in the UK office to focus on the tech so will be imperative in the growth and should have a broad technical knowledge either from their career or university.
The Solutions Engineer/Project Engineer/Pre-Sales Engineer will be responsible for:
·Work with Project Managers/Operations Team Members in the execution of designed security solutions
·Work with sales team members to educate customers on the various products available
·Prepare required project documentation
·Design security systems including IP Video Surveillance
·Provide solution designs to fulfil customer requirements
·Respond to RFP’s & bids
The Pre-Sales Engineer/Solutions Engineer will ideally have the following experience
·Ideally be first class degree educated in a technology focussed course such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Network Engineering etc
·Broad technical experience either in their career or university course
·THIS COULD BE THE CANDIDATES FIRST ROLE OR THEY MAY HAVE GRADUATED ALREADY AND WORKED IN A TECH CAPACITY – MY CLIENT ARE HAPPY TO GROW AND TEACH PEOPLE
·Strong background in IT fundamentals: Experience with VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT devices, DHCP servers, and software systems; No experience with products related to physical security, cloud-based necessary: this can be taught
·Demonstrated problem-solving skills that will directly impact the speed and quality of response to customers and partners
·Genuine excitement for software + hardware products and can speak comfortably about how they work
·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information and Computer Technology, Networking, IT Security from an accredited university
·Industry certifications are a plus: AWS, CCNA, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+
