Position:Systems Engineer
Position Summary:
BuddoBot is seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of automation engineering. Candidate should be familiar with Windows 2016 and higher and Red Hat Linux 8.x, including configuring OS settings via automation. The ideal candidate should be familiar with engineering practices and be capable of analyzing requirements and developing a supportable, well-documented end product to meet customer needs. The candidate should also have a strong background in troubleshooting methodologies and be open to learning new skills.
The mission is to provide integrated Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Information (C4I) systems and manage strategic C4I resources supporting AMC’s global air mobility mission. HQ AMC requires technical and support task services that enable the readiness state of the systems, infrastructure, and services that satisfy the mission requirements for the Mobility Air Force (MAF) C2 Business Systems, projects, applications, and infrastructures. These services are called Systems Infrastructure, Applications, Operations, and Maintenance Services (SIAOMS). SIAOMS is AFLCMC’s answer to meeting these IT challenges by leveraging hardware, software, services, and support resource consolidation.

Salary:The salary offered will depend on education, certifications, length and relevance of work history, and professional experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong background in automation engineering.
- Automation development experience using VBScript, Bash, SQL, PowerShell, batch, and HTA.
- Strong process and engineering documentation skills.
- Ability to break down process and developer documentation into logically automatable steps.
- Familiar with automating and troubleshooting DISA STIG implementations.
- Act as third-level support with a strong troubleshooting skillset.
- Ability to work independently and “get projects across the finish line.”

Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in CS or Equivalent of Education and Experience
- IAT II (CCNA Security, CYSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, SSCP)
Background and Experience:
- AWS experience is a plus
- Symantec GSS 3.x experience
- Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2022, Red Hat Linux 8.x admin experience
- SQL 2016 and higher and/or other DBA experience is a plus
- MS SQL or Oracle Database Experience is a plus
Required Technical Skills:
- Windows Server Administration
- Red Hat Linux Administration
- Scripting experience with VBScript, Bash, Powershell, etc
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- General office environment. Work is generally sedentary but may require movement about the office up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
- Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible.
- Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages.
- Occasional movement of small articles up to 10 lbs.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Continually operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Occasionally required to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
- Continually required to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
