We are seeking aSystems Administratorto join our team in Washington DC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based
- Plan and monitor the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization, and perform systems capacity analysis and planning
- Plan and monitor assistance to users in accessing and using business systems
- Ensures that thecommon operating environment is compliant with the enterprise architecture and applicable reference models
Work Experience:
- At least 6 years’ experience with Windows Server 2003 or higher and Hyper-V
- Monitor the status of the APC Symmetra RM 6K AP9619 UPS (unit is configured to email weekly self-tests), recommend purchase of new battery modules as required
- Ensure the complete resolution of a technical problem to fully meet the client’s needs
- Prepare requisition documents as necessary
- Modify requirements (such as removing the Content Server) as necessary
- Maintain periodic configuration backups via accessing the web management pages of each of the devices/blades and downloading the configuration – the TMS VM must be backed up by periodically shutting it down and exporting it to an external drive
- Recommend implementation of software upgrades as necessary
- Periodically review the product logs/download XML-based logs to Excel for review
- At least 4 years’ experience with automation
- Health and Human Services Clearance

- Excellent analytic and communication skills to help build and document processes, policies, and help guides
- Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
- Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
- Previous experience supporting IT software projects
- Develop work plans and LOEs as they relate to systems integration work tasks and team members
- Research, evaluate, and recommend systems/equipment/technologies based upon client needs
- Draft technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other systems integration related documents
- Interface with various team members, including management
- Develop and conduct testing plans and procedures based upon system recommendations
- Provide client with post-installation and integration support
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / MIS – required
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
- CISSP Certification – required
- ITIL v3 Foundations Certification - preferred
Communication Skills:
- Solid ability to interface, inspire and motivate at various levels of the organization
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
Travel:
- Willing to travel occasionally as needed
Environmental Requirements:
- Mainly sedentary; in an office environment
- May be required to lift ten (10) pounds
- Flexible in working extended hours
