Job Purpose
The IT Systems Administrator is a dynamic IT role that maintains the function of all IT systems, analyzes log data, and responds to escalated end user issues/requests. Additionally, this role will work with IT management to expand the capability and performance of IT system processes and configurations. Role is flexible being able to provide technical support in all areas, including security, business partner coordination, IT asset maintenance, and Active Directory identity management.
Responsibilities & Expectations
The Systems Administrator duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
- All Level 3 support and escalations, as well as Level 2 support as needed
- Regular Audit Log reviews
- IT systems set ups and repairs
- IT issue identification, research, and solutions
- Azure AD identities management
- Partner IT escalated assistance
- IT asset setup, tracking, and maintenance
- New Hire setup
- End-point security management
- Certificate and Domain management
- Database management
- IT project execution
- IT systems configuration, creation, and management
- IT department tools/resources creation and management
- IT security infrastructure management and monitoring
- Customer Focused Support and Follow-up
- Ability to describe technical information in easy-to-understand terms
- Must have patience and use discretion (since confidential data is stored on computer systems)
- Ability to maximize resources to accomplish key metrics
- Willingness to assist teammates in order to achieve departmental goals
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrate skill in analysis of problems with use of creative problem solving, and critical thinking
- Use innovative methods to assist IT Director in identifying areas that need improvement and processes implementation
- Display excellent communication skills both orally and written
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associate degree or higher with a technical major (Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience: Three to five years of experience in an IT environment
- Certifications: Microsoft Certifications (MCSA, MCITP, MCSE, etc.), Information Assurance Technician (IAT)/Information Assurance Manager (IAM) (CISSP, CASP, Security+CE, CCNA-Security, SSCP, etc.) are desired/preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Windows 10 OS
- Office 365 support/admin experience (Office, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
- Extensive experience in PowerShell environment
- Working knowledge of:
- Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune Administration
- Windows Server 2008 R2 and up
- SQL Server 2012 and up
- Azure and AWS cloud platforms
- HIPIAA IT regulatory requirements
- Oracle NetSuite
- Relias
- Salesforce
- General EMR experience
- Microsoft RDS
- Microsoft WVD
- Mac OS and Android Management and Restrictions

Working Conditions
This job is a combination of working remote from a personal home office, may require some travel (primarily Des Moines region), and some work out of the ITP office in West Des Moines, IA.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position required intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting and crouching.
