Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance of virtualized servers, VMware Horizons VDI environment, storage, Tegile, Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and other application servers.
Maintain hardware and software patch levels.
Monitor and manage systems used in support of data center operations. Example: Backup Systems and SolarWinds.
Essential Skills
Solid working knowledge of VMware Horizons VDI
Solid working knowledge of SAN technology including Tegile, EqualLogic, iSCSI
Solid working knowledge of SQL Server (multiple versions)
Solid working knowledge of Active Directory
Solid working knowledge of VMware virtualization technology
Solid working knowledge of server hardware and software platforms.
Solid working knowledge of Exchange 2013 and higher
Working understanding of LAN/ WAN technologies
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated documentation skills with Visio
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
Able to apply analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Enterprise level backup tools (Veeam, CommVault)
Experience with cloud-based storage and compute (AWS or Azure)
VoIP support (Cisco Unified Contact Center Express)
Industry certifications are preferred (MCSE, CCNA, VCP, CISSP, etc.).
Communication Skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, documentation, Visio diagrams, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
