Job Summary:
The position will support the Director of Regulatory Compliance. Individual assists with compliance assignments associated with the LRE generating fleet, as well as other entities required to comply with the Standards and Requirements of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), specifically, the Regional Reliability Organizations, Independent System Operators, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Department of Energy. Individual will develop Reliability Compliance policies and procedures through research and interaction with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and site operating personnel to ensure organizational compliance with the NERC Reliability Standards. Reviews correspondence with regulatory authorities, prepares committee presentations and related materials, and is responsible for audit preparations and responses. Individual will interface with senior management for compliance reporting and certification. Develops and maintains key performance indicators for tracking compliance program performance. This position supports the compliance program in being "audit compliant" at all times.

- Ability to prepare and disseminate training on standards and compliance topics, best practices, and company-wide processes.
- Ability to lead by example to ensure compliance with all Leeward Renewable Energy processes, procedures, and policies, while maintaining standards of the corporate code of conduct in all employees.
- Experience with bulk power system, electric transmission, system operations, and power plant maintenance practices and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of power plant operations and compliance with NERC Standards.
- Experience in the development of NERC Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets and NERC Evidence Request Tool.
- Experience in Regional web-based portal regulatory reporting.
- Regional Registration process experience preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, engineering, business, or equivalent experience as an energy compliance professional.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, and CRISC are a plus.
- 2+ years of work-related experience in the NERC Standards
- 2+ years professional regulatory and/or compliance administration experience at a public utility or other energy company, with an emphasis on experience with compliance systems in the electric regulatory field.
- Organized approach and proven problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office software such as Word, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe and Excel; skills in and aptitude for electronic data and document management systems (e.g. SharePoint).
- Experience in working with PowerApps is preferred.
- Experience with bulk power system, electric transmission, system operations, and power plant maintenance practices and procedures essential.
