Position Title: System Architect
As a System Architect, you will be instrumental in defining and developing comprehensive solution architecture diagrams, diverse viewpoints, models, matrices, and design documentation the Lasso DataHub Platform. Your efforts will ensure the most efficient, reliable, scalable, and secure solutions aligned with business needs and technology strategy. This includes planning, evaluating, recommending, and designing products and architectural solutions in compliance with the product vision, legislative requirements, policies, standards, architecture principles, patterns, and reference architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture
- Accountable for architectural deliverables within strategic solutions and project settings.
- Recommend technical solutions to drive automated processes and minimize internal sourcing needs.
- Develop, model, and apply enterprise-wide references to processes, information models, application, and technical architectures related to the Lasso DataHub Platform.
- Provide subject matter expertise and stay informed of industry trends (technical and business-related) and internal strategies through publications, research papers, personal networks, and vendors to identify opportunities.
- Lead proof of concept projects to evaluate technology innovation against business needs.
- Conduct user interface reviews, assess infrastructure changes, and ensure solutions align with corporate strategy, objectives, and architectural principles.
- Collaborate with business partners across all disciplines.
- Support and advise management and technical staff within Business Technology Services.
Architecture Governance
- Conduct internal and external solution reviews and integrate feedback.
- Prepare necessary materials for architecture governance meetings.
- Present architecture solutions and secure approval.
- Resolve any action items promptly.
Architecture Services
- Periodically assess current architecture for components at risk of obsolescence and identify opportunities for investment, remediation, or replacement.
- Provide consulting and advice to the business community regarding plans and strategies.
- Develop and evolve enterprise architecture, detailing business components, technical infrastructures, and their inter-relationships and dependencies.
- Participate in the creation and evaluation of RFP/RFS requests and responses.
- Perform market scans of various technologies and solutions, and write architecture assessments and recommendations.
- Write and collaborate on reference architecture.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in IT System/IT Solution Architecture.
- 7+ years of software design and development experience with Java, React, Angular, MQ, Databases, Tomcat, Apache, JBOSS, WebSphere.
- 5+ years of experience designing solutions with RESTful API and Microservices.
- 5+ years of experience designing solutions for Cloud Native applications on Azure and AWS.
- TOGAF, AWS Solution Architect, Azure Solution Architect, CISSP, or CDMP certifications are an asset.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
