Objective/Purpose of Job:
This
is a business-facing role with the responsibility for managing Information
Systems, Technology operations and IT Security. This includes the
identification, management, Support, and delivery of related technology
projects to support business growth.
The role will engage actively with business stakeholders and
service partners/providers, and act as the main focal point for all IT service
management and project management.
Duties & Responsibilities
1.Strategic & business leadership: Develop
and maintain Technology strategy and roadmap in alignment with overall business
strategy. Ensuring the delivery of the IT/ERP objectives through business
process optimization and efficient solution and services delivery. Continuously
adding value to shape and seek out opportunities to improve business
performance.
2.Building Relationships: build
relationships with and win ‘hearts and minds’ of the Executive team and their
respective leadership teams, such that he / she is viewed as an influential
leader in facilitating conversations to drive breakthroughs in business
performances and in maximising opportunities and support the IT transformation
projects led by the businesses.
3.IT Security Compliance & Controls: Promote
and sustain delivery of satisfactory compliance and controls for secure environment
aligned to respective country compliance standards.
4.Talent
& Capability: Provide subject matter expertise,
coaching and assessment in developing a strong pipeline of talent, inspire
the IT team to deliver world class performance and champion significant
improvements.
5.Vendor
Management: Follow the Group Vendor Management policy, manage request for
service and request for quote process in coordination with the Group vendor
management team, prepare technical specifications for bids/quotes and ensure
sustainable and cost-effective vendor performance
6.Data Management: Ensure data are used or processed for the
purpose set for such data and ensure absolute confidentiality while processing
or using personal data. Get the consent of the data subject before collecting,
processing, and using data.
7.Functional delivery: Ensure service levels are maintained
including infrastructure, services, projects, and process performance.
Effective Management of budget within the unit. Identify and ensure delivery of
projects that support delivery of business goals.
Education/Knowledge,
Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements
·Bachelor's
degree in engineering or management.
·At
least 7-12 years of progressive responsibilities in Information Technology or
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); 3 years in a ‘Head of Unit’ capacity
·Self-directed and focused on goals or
end-state as opposed to specific tasks
·Experience
in developing and implementing technology strategies.
·Demonstrated
ability to build and maintain good business relationships
·Demonstrated
ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams
·Experience
interpreting business requirements, recognizing impact on business processes,
and making recommendations.
·Experience
of leading organisational change within a matrix organisation.
