Position Overview
As an Information Technology Assistant, you will support our school's technological infrastructure. You will assist in maintaining hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring smooth operations across all departments and grade levels. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational experience of our students and staff through effective IT support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff on hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Assist in managing and maintaining our school's network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement technology initiatives and upgrades.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure the security and efficiency of IT systems.
- Support classroom technology integration and provide training to staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, inventory, and service requests.
- Stay current with technological developments and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in IT preferred.
- Proven experience in providing IT support, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with network technologies, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, and administrators.
