We're assisting a well-funded startup in NYC with their search for a backend software engineer. They produce AI-powered developer tools specifically for the robotics software space. The role will be onsite in the Flatiron office.
Tech stack: Python, C++, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, AWS Lambda, AWS CloudFormation, AWS DynamoDB
What you'll do:
- Own the architecture and development of new backend infrastructure
- Support or migrate existing serverless infrastructure as our product scales
- Work across the entire product lifecycle from concept to production
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other code owners and leadership
- Shape the culture, values, and processes of a young and rapidly growing engineering team
What you'll bring:
- U.S. Citizen or active Green Card holder
- 5+ years of experience backend software engineering.
- Experience with systems for information indexing and retrieval or deploying in compliance-sensitive environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Rust.
- Proven track record of architecting scalable and performant backend infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and systems performance.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Experience working in a VC-backed, high-growth seed-series A startup and/or in tech companies known for having a high technical bar.
