CTC is continuously looking for strong C++ Engineers to help us build out our next-generation technologies in many different areas of the firm including Execution, Exchange Connectivity, Platform, and Research & Data Engineering. In these areas you will be involved in projects that have direct and meaningful impact on CTC's daily performance. In our fast-paced team environment, our engineers can quickly see the results of their effort, and the impact that work has on our businesses.
In areas like Execution, you will work with traders to build new execution strategies and enhance existing ones. In Platform Engineering, you may be building out a robust common framework library for the firm or building messaging API’s for developing distributed, real-time trading systems.
Flexibility, drive for results, attention to detail, analytical skills, and team spirit will be essential attributes for success in any role here at CTC. As a C++ Engineer, you must also have a broad and deep understanding of software engineering concepts, sharp software development skills, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the firmwide safety committee to ensure the platform is operationally safe and sound
- Understand requirements, propose solutions, and deliver software into the production environment in a timely and robust manner
- Foster collaboration with other teams including operations, option pricing, exchange access, inventory and risk management, and quality assurance
Qualifications
- 3 + years of experience working in a production environment using modern C++, knowledge of C++20 preferred
- Some, but not all areas require experience with low latency development and performance investigation tools
- Ability to quickly triage issues and drive the resolution effort through completion
- Experience with multi-threaded programming and distributed application architecture
Compensation
- Salary Range: $145,000 - $225,000, plus a discretionary bonus.
- The discretionary bonus will be dependent upon the individuals skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance.
