In this role, you will be involved in defining technical directions for Kuatro Technologies and its customers in such areas of modern data communications as 5G mobile, SDN, Data Centers, and Internet of Things. Utilizing your experience in network and device architectures, you will help define areas and solutions where Kuatro’s effort should be applied both in building products and providing services to its customers. Conceptual, critical thinking, knowledge of network and device architectures, understanding of relationships between network management and managed devices and between management, control and data plane are must for this position. To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Understanding of the product management and product building paradigms;
- Ability to understand customer needs in the above mentioned areas;
- Knowledge and understanding of markets, market leaders and technology trends in the above-mentioned areas;
- Ability to estimate costs of a product or service project, understanding of the components and factors involved in such products;
- Strong general technical acumen: past experience in software or/and hardware development; understanding of risks involved; understanding of pros and cons of the waterfall and Agile development models.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching markets and technology trends (in such forums as IETF, MEF, Open Compute) and presenting summaries/proposals to Kuatro management;
- Performing studies to evaluate technical and business feasibility of proposals;
- Writing concept and architecture documents that would allow development teams to proceed with design and implementation of the defined solutions;
- Presenting to customers and/or technology forums Kuatro’s products and services;
- Driving and participating in prototype projects to evaluate feasibility of candidate solutions;
- Working with the Kuatro sales team to help in evaluating customer proposals and collecting information about industry trends/needs.
