Position Summary:
Haventree is looking for skilled software engineers to design and build amazing mobile experiences for our customers. In this senior role, you will not only be responsible for delivering high-quality mobile app solutions but also for leading technical discussions, setting standards, and mentoring other engineers. You will be expected to lead full-cycle frontend software development, advising on technical design, reviewing code, and driving best practices across the team. As a senior engineer, you'll be proactive in identifying areas for improvement, proposing innovative solutions, and ensuring the maintainability and scalability of the codebase. You'll consider testability, upgradeability, scalability, and observability throughout the development process.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Expert-level understanding of modern frameworks for mobile apps especially React Native
- Proven experience in architecting and building large-scale, consumer-facing mobile apps
- Extensive experience solving complex caching, observability, and performance challenges in modern mobile apps
- Improve our mobile build and release process, shipping high quality app updates to members quickly
- Deep knowledge of APIs to collaborate effectively with server-side engineers and contribute to API design discussions
- A passion for continuous improvement, with a track record of leaving every project better than you found it
- A leadership mindset with the ability to mentor, guide, and inspire other engineers
Qualifications & Experience:
Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of mobile app development experience with React Native.
- Solid understanding of mobile development principles and best practices
- Experience with automated testing suites, CI/CD pipelines
- Start-up experience as an added plus
