Job Description: Seeking a Software Engineer 1 to join the software development team who will develop and sustain integrated, feature-rich capabilities that promote modernization of visualization and presentation tools. The software development team will provide application development and support to tools that allow mission analytic users to view existing data or contribute new information in a collaborative environment.
The Software Engineer for this position will be a full stack developer focused on UI development and services. UI technologies include modern JavaScript Frameworks (React or Vue preferred), node/npm, webpack, Git, and Jest testing. Middle-tier technologies include REST service development, Java (Spring, Java Design Patterns), Maven, integration with web services and databases, and good understanding of object-oriented design principles. Additional desired skills include experience with software CM and CI solutions such as Git and Jenkins.
The successful candidate will also possess an interest and some level of experience with automated software testing technologies and techniques. Experience with one or more of the following (or similar) technologies/tools is desired: UI testing (e.g. Selenium), integration, and load testing (e.g. jMeter).
