We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the successful design, coding, implementation and testing of our DevOps and delivery tools, solutions, and integrations. You’ll need to have exceptional development knowledge in programming interfaces, API’s, microservices and integrations between tools. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be working in conjunction with like-minded departments such as software engineering, to develop and use automated process and pipelines that connects the steps of IT delivery together from planning, code check-ins, through to deployment and change tracking.You’ll be hands on designing and creating solutions, as well as using them.
Responsibilities:
- Source Code repository management (SCM) including branch management.
- Creating and maintaining tools, integrations, extensions, plug-ins, solutions and microservices.
- Participate, as assigned in configuring deployment/delivery pipeline solutions
- Upgrade tools as required while implementing integrations.
- Design, document, and develop automated solutions
- Uphold and enforce DevOps Engineer team best practices
- Works closely and professionally with internal teams and partners to ensure effective solutions
- As a Senior role, exhibit leadership qualities in technical and non-technical collaboration, presentation, and interactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- 6+ years of experience in a software development experience.
- Senior level applied scripting/programming experience with languages such as Groovy, Java, Typescript, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, Bash, YAML, and React framework.
- Experience in micro-service development is required
- Strong experience with at least one Object Oriented Programming language (ex: Java) required.
- Experience with build tools and languages like Maven and Gradle is a plus.
- Experience with at least one Deployment and Release orchestration toolsets (e.g. Azure DevOps, Digital.ai, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
- Working knowledge and experience with container-based technologies and like Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher etc.and related container build processes.
- Working knowledge and experience with database admin and language basics such as SQL and MySQL and/or Mongo.
- Experience and a working knowledge with IaC platforms such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible for configuration automation, a plus.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
