Maxar is seeking ambitious software engineers to build novel solutions for challenging problems for both US Government and industry customers. Work is centered on the development of a suite of high fidelity, physics-based software that models air and space Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems to include their subsystems and payloads as well as ground components. The focus of this position will be to contribute to the full stack development of components that comprises a family of applications built on this software suite. Development is conducted in an agile environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a current Secret with the ability to obtain & maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related.
5-10 years of relevant software development experience.
Experience working in an aerospace/astrodynamics-related domain.
Required to work at Herndon, VA office a minimum of three days a week.
Proficient Java programmer using common development tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, VSCode, etc.
Proficient developing within micro-service architectures utilizing appropriate technologies (e.g., Spring Boot).
Experience working in an Agile development process utilizing common tools, such as the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence).
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills to include active listening.
Preferred Skills:
Active/current TS/SCI clearance.
Web application front-end experience (e.g., Vue/JavaScript).
SQL/database experience.
Linux experience.
Experience with ISR planning, scheduling, or modeling and simulation software.

Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington:
$89,000.00 - $189,000.00 annually.
