Responsibilities of the position include:
• Develop and Customize iWay COTS application using Python.
• Write embedded SQL Queries for database CRUD operations.
• Write ad-hoc SQL Queries for investigation and troubleshooting efforts.
• Maintain existing EDI feed setups and set up new EDI partners in iWay.
• Research and resolve EDI error and failure patterns and issues.
• Maintain existing EDI Azure Logic Apps workflows.
• Assist users and IT staff in troubleshooting and resolving EDI processing issues.
• Coordinate QA and UAT activities associated with EDI processing.
• Assist in researching, troubleshooting, and resolving EDI feed issues determined through internal review or when reported by users.
• Testing changes with external EDI providers.
• Participating in the monthly billing process.
• API programming knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of deploying applications and supporting them through the entire stack is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications
• College degree in a technical discipline or commensurate professional experience
• Programming knowledge of Python is required.
• Exposure to iWay or some other EDI processing tool is required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL is required.
• Experience in Gitlab or a similar versioning tool is required.
• Knowledge of XML, JSON and EDI formats is required.
• Experience with Oracle is a huge plus.
• Experience with Postgres is a huge plus.
• Knowledge of Devops is a huge plus.
• Knowledge of Azure Logic Apps is a huge plus.
• Professional IT experience in the transportation industry a plus
• Professional experience with EDI protocols and tools a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Hands-on experience with the entire software development lifecycle (requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing)
• Experience with design, architecture, development, and unit testing of middleware
• Detail-oriented, well organized, able to work independently, and good communication and technical documentation skills.
• Expert and proven analysis, judgment, decision making, organizational, and planning skills working in an autonomous and proactive manner, and a desire to continuously learn new skills.
