GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provides support to non-certified staff and administrators in the effective and efficient use of computer hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and the technology infrastructure.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
- Trains non-certified staff and administrators in the use of information technologies and software.
- Assists individual non-certified staff members and administrators in the effective and efficient use of information technology.
- Makes initial diagnosis of hardware problems with information technologies used by non-certified staff and administrators.
- Provides intermediate level support to correct problems with computers and peripheral equipment when possible and appropriate.
- Provides intermediate level support to correct problems with software as appropriate.
- Assists in maintaining an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all information technology equipment, software, and services in the district.
- Installs new and/or updated software for non-certified staff and administrators.
- Assists non-certified staff and/or administrators in identifying, reviewing and implementing new software.
- Provides the Director of Information Technology Services with input into the budgeting process and technology planning.
Assumes such other related responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Information Technology Services Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s Degree in computer related field and a minimum of one year’s experience in facilitating the use of personal computers and software in a networked environment, including intermediate level troubleshooting or an Associate’s Degree in subject area with at least two computer courses and a minimum of two years of experience facilitating the use of personal computers and software in a networked environment, including intermediate level troubleshooting. Demonstrated experience in training adults to use computer hardware and/or software.
