Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: One Independence Way, Princeton, NJ 08540 (Telecommuting permitted within reasonable commuting distance of Princeton, NJ office.)
Job Duties: S&P Global Market Intelligence Inc. seeks a Software Engineer who will provide the design, effort estimate, and implementation for software features specified by business stakeholders. Maintain existing software systems. Onboard new developers and mentor junior developers. Guide collaborative development efforts within an assigned development team and coordinate with other collaborating teams where applicable. Provide technical knowledge to non-developers such that they can make business decisions with knowledge of technical tradeoffs and risks. Maintain and grow technical expertise of emerging technologies.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field, plus five (5) years of experience in full stack development or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience must include: Designing and implementing object-oriented programming (OOP) systems using OOP principles; Implementing common software design patterns; Utilizing npm package manager to manage client software package dependencies; JavaScript and C# unit testing frameworks; Coding web browser applications with JavaScript ES6, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, emotion, bootstrap, i18Next, jQuery, and jQuery-UI; Developing web applications and services using MS Visual Studio and MS Visual Studio Code IDEs; Creating and managing code branches with GIT source control; Creating and maintaining web application components using standardized browser shared web worker technology; Maintaining.NET web applications with expert knowledge of C#, VB.NET and MS Visual Studio.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $152,131 to $170,400. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
