JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Network Administrator is primarily responsible for ensuring the organization's computer networks continue to run safely, securely and effectively. Plans, develops, installs, configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes network hardware, software, and communication links as necessary to achieve objectives. Maintains disaster readiness best practices.
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Responsibilities
- Maintains overall health of computer network infrastructure, including internet service providers, monitors network, firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, encryption, remote access, authentication, DNS, FTP, anti-virus, voice and data telecommunications, storage area networks, etc.
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems within computer network infrastructure; designs and implements solutions to ensure a minimum delay for employees using the network.
- Ensures and maintains network stability and resolve network issues in collaboration with the central IT-team.
- Documents the network topology and perform regular network reviews to improve operational efficiency.
- Acts as a bridge between IT, OT, information security, suppliers, auditors, and specialized departments on the production floor to ensure aligned objectives and effective communication.
- Implements local IT security standards and tools (e.g., secure remote maintenance solutions, firewalls, segmentation) and support the central network team on site.
- Regularly supports threat analyses and vulnerability assessments to safeguard production IT from cyber threats.
- Acts as technical expert to assist end-users with complex desktop computer hardware and software problems; handles difficult and complex network and desktop computer and software problems that cannot be resolved by other technical support staff.
- Configuration and set-up of all new server systems required internally for the company’s activities.
- Installs, configures, diagnoses, repairs, upgrades and maintains end-user software and corporate hardware.
- Assist production staff with IT-related issues to ensure smooth workflows.
- Document IT processes and issues and maintain knowledge bases.
- Monitors Service Level Agreements; ensures appropriate UPS, backup, and other utilities; aides in the development of business continuity and disaster plans and respond to emergency outages; assists in planning for future computer needs and system/network design.
- Participate in IT projects such as, network upgrades, security projects, or rollouts of new technologies.
- Ensuring smooth operations to improve customer satisfaction through reliable service.
- Assists in training Network Technicians and end users on equipment operation and issue resolution; performs analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex hardware problems for end-users.

- Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
- On call - will be required to work flexible hours to provide back-up and emergency support; it is important to provide wrap-around service in order to keep all systems functional.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project, Microsoft Windows, Group Policy Manager, Cisco Network Assistant, Terminal emulation software and Helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of Voice over IP (VOIP) and Fax over IP (FOIP)
- Excellent technical knowledge of network servers and hardware
- Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology or related discipline preferred
- 5-7 years of experience working with network and systems infrastructure required
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
- Base: $97,300 to $120,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
- Bonus or Commission: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
