Maxar is seeking solutions-oriented DevSecOps Engineer to work in an agile and fast paced customer environment supporting a user base with a mission to solve unique and challenging problems in support of national security. Location: Herndon, VA
Principal Responsibilities:
- Monitors systems operations and confers with software systems engineering or applications programming personnel to develop appropriate solutions, and to implement them...
- Improving system operations and functionality, monitoring, and optimization of the platform.
- Tracks and remediates IAVM vulnerabilities and applies system patches, and rollback
- Implements STIG guidance
- Support ATO sustainment efforts
- Work with software and system engineers to apply automated test and documentation processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipelines, and infrastructure issues.
- Integrate static code analysis and other security mechanisms into pipeline.
- Communicate with multidisciplinary teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.
Skills Required
- 8+ years of technical experience in maintaining automated system platforms for the intelligence community, geospatial context, and/or big data analytics
- CICD development experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, Kubernetes, Openshift, and/or Docker.
- Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated senior level experience with LINUX and database system administration and Python scripting
- Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team
- Communicates effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums
- Will work onsite in a SCIF 80% or as needs dictate
- Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a technical field.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship
Additional Skills Desired:
Some familiarity in these areas would be fabulous.
- An adaptable and solution centric mindset
- Experience with supporting software in a production environment.
- Familiarity with common industry software tools, concepts, and DevSecOps
- Familiarity with concepts such as Data visualization; Data management, Data integration, User Interface, Databases
- Strong Linux skills and familiarity with hybrid cloud/on-prem architecture, AWS, C2S, OpenStack, etc.
- Can work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with factory reach-back support.
- CompTIA Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access.
- Experience as a military/intelligence analyst, supporting the military/IC, or knowledge of some IC PED systems is a plus!

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington:
$107,000.00 - $229,000.00 annually.
