AquaPhoenix Scientific, headquartered in Hanover, PA has an immediate opening for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer – SaaS Platform (AWS, React, React JS) to join our growing technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to execute your skills and share your passion for writing high quality code and playing a lead role to enhance our AWS hosted SaaS platform. Lead Software Engineer is a full-time, US based, remote position with full benefits and no direct reports. Residence in the DFW metroplex area is preferred; however, not required.
AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Lead Software Engineer – SaaS Platform position will frequently have 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on building and maintaining SaaS platforms. An advanced degree in software engineering, programing or related field is required.
Although not all inclusive, additional responsibilities, skills, and expectations include:
- Participate with a talented team of engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, cloud architecture, and possess expertise in AWS services
- Experience working with an on-shore / off-shore development team structure, ensuring seamless collaboration and proper delineation of responsibilities
- Experience with RESTful Web patterns and documentation standards
- Experience with GraphQL patterns and documentation standards
- Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle
- Experience participating on development teams that are supporting high traffic in terms of users and/or devices
- Experience in object-oriented design and programming, design patterns, and related frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise in continuous integration/delivery/deployment
- Significant experience in React and ReactJS product development
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop UI for a React and ReactJS products and services
- Software development for both the platform and mobile applications
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings
- Properly meet and manage tickets and PR deployment
Technical Requirements:
- Strong experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway
- Platform and mobile software development using the React and React JS framework
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns
- Understanding of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Frontend Web Tech Stack:
- Language: TypeScrips
- Framework: React and ReactJS
- Testing: Karma
- Infra: AWS/EKS
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the CI/CD process
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
