DescriptionPartners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.
Responsible for participating in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions. May work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. Implements solutions and ensures successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through more customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Further builds business and technical acumen.
Minimum qualifications include: 5 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 25% international and domestic.
Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 5 years technical experience. Expertise in system and application design; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments.

Job Summary
The JAPAC Cloud Engineering Center of Excellence (CE CoE) is a new regional organisation across Japan and Asia Pacific whose role is to accelerate consumption of Oracle Cloud Services by providing a world-class customer experience on the Oracle Cloud. Customers will have access to cutting edge and deep technical subject matter expertise and solutions. The CoE is organized by Technology Domains such as Infrastructure, Packaged Applications, Custom Applications, Data Management, Analytics and others, which will provide relevant subject matter expertise in engagements. The primary goal of these teams is to move customer workloads to production environments to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for Strategic customer implementations and for the Oracle Cloud Lift Services initiative.

Skills and Profile
Technical
- Proven technical leadership on Siebel CRM implementations.
- Have a clear understanding and can articulate the capabilities and functionalities of key Siebel business modules across industries available within Siebel CRM Innovation Pack 2015/2016 and above releases.
- Have a clear understanding on Siebel Deployment Technology Architecture, Siebel CRM Data Logical & Physical Data Model, Siebel Tools, Siebel file system, Application & Action Code Security including Siebel Security Architecture.
- Able to size or validate Siebel CRM infrastructure & network components sizing requirements. Come up deployment related reference architecture(s) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Have previously led large-scale, Siebel CRM deployment and implementation experience in a lead/subject matter expert (SME) capacity.
- Has worked on Siebel CRM implementations on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as well as on-premises datacenter or other cloud platforms. Have deployed Siebel environments on OCI as a multihost, secure, high-availability topology architecture.
- Clearly able to articulate and demonstrate the value of hosting Siebel CRM applications and configuring Siebel CRM Server Modules & underlying technology components (Siebel database, Siebel Gateway cluster, Siebel Application Server, Siebel Enterprise Cache, BI Publisher) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Able to plan, define, install and configure Siebel CRM on Oracle Cloud. Has a clear understanding and hands on work experience on OCI platform including infrastructure, networking and storage.
- Has worked on multiple customer engagements that involved migrating Siebel CRM environments from on-premises data center or other cloud platforms to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Has worked and performed on customer engagement(s) involving Siebel CRM application and Siebel Tools version upgrade(s) including database upgrade(s).
- Able to coordinate & support full life cycle implementation including application development, Monitor, analyze, tune and otherwise maintain Siebel CRM system performance
- Able to troubleshoot issues regarding networks, software, hardware and operating systems.
- Proven expertise in all aspects of the Oracle Applications lifecycle such as development, deployment, customizations, patching and upgrades and has performed tasks like patching, creating backup and recovery strategies, cloning Siebel CRM applications across environment(s), Siebel CRM Applications and underlying technology tier components upgrade, performance tuning/optimization of Siebel CRM application environments.
- Have deep knowledge of the Oracle technology stack such as Oracle Database, DBCS, Exadata / ExaCS, Autonomous Database, Fusion Middleware. Thorough understanding and working experience of Oracle database options like multi-tenant, advanced security option, label security, database vault, partitioning, real application cluster is an added plus.
- Working experience with database(s) like Microsoft SQL Server or IBM DB2 along with Siebel CRM Deployments would be added plus.
- Have working experience on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS and Database related PaaS services including Autonomous Database and Exadata Cloud Service). Understands OCI networking constructs used within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Understands database migration strategies and is conversant using database migration tools. Have migrated Siebel CRM database tier to IaaS, DBCS or ExaCS or vice versa for a Siebel CRM environment hosted in OCI. Has exposure and have used Oracle database migration tools used to migrate Oracle database(s) to Oracle Cloud with minimal or no downtime.
- Has working experience converting a Siebel CRM database environment with single database instance environment to RAC (Real Application Cluster).
- Thorough understanding of DR and HA architectures for Siebel CRM Applications. Has previously implemented Hybrid Disaster Recovery site for Siebel CRM either between on-prem and Oracle Cloud or between two Oracle Cloud Regions.
- Have a clear understanding and has earlier performed platform migration to OCI / on-prem for a Siebel CRM application including database.
- Has designed and implemented operational support processes and understands key challenges customers are facing during implementation and migration of Siebel CRM Applications to Oracle Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Siebel CRM hosting environments such as Managed Data Centers, Cloud based infrastructure and Virtualized environments.
- Experience in integration of Siebel CRM with other applications like Web Services, SOA, mobile applications, Oracle SaaS applications and other integration approaches.

- At least 7-9 years of overall relevant professional experience, including ideally 5+ years of Siebel CRM applications-based solutions including at least 2-3 years in a cloud environment.
- Deep relevant technical expertise and background working in organization in an Engineering, Architecture, Development, Sales Consulting or Consulting role
- Proven and demonstrable solution knowledge in Oracle PaaS and IaaS and Hybrid Cloud architecture and solutions
- Works cross-LOB to develop architecture solutions and IaaS blueprints to integrate customer IT and customer business process changes to support strategic business needs.
- Able to lead project implementations involving lift and shift Siebel CRM environments from on-premises or other cloud platforms to OCI.
