As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
ResponsibilitiesCloud DevOps Engineer:
Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the cloud engineering division, you will perform detailed design based on provided high-level design specifications. Assist in system planning, scheduling, implementation, and support. Build enhancements (including new product features) and resolve bugs. Build and execute unit test and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Interact with QA and porting engineering about problems in the code. Candidate shall be writing codes using python/shell scripting, Terraform and Kubernetes programming to achieve the Cloud provisioning automation. Candidate shall also be working with Ops/Support team to resolve any complex production issues that get escalated to Cloud Engineering team.
Desired skills:
- Expertise in container technologies such as Docker & Kubernetes is a must with experience in Infrastructure programing/development in Docker & Kubernetes of 2yrs to 12 yrs.
- Experience in Programming/scripting in Shell, Python or Ruby is required.
- Experience/ Knowledge in Programing/scripting in Terraform is a must.
- Experience in Git, SVN, or similar version control tools is a must.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments with good grip on unix commands is required.
- DevOps exposure and experience of one or more tools like Jenkins or Chef is required.
- Experience/knowledge of working in Cloud technologies like Oracle Cloud ( OCI)/ Azure/AWS or Openstack is required ( OCI preferred).
- Experience in troubleshooting Production issues for J2EE applications running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or any other Public Cloud technologies( AWS, Azure, etc) along with Containerization technologies like Kubernetes is required.
- Experience in Oracle Weblogic 12c+, OBIEE is a plus
- Experience in Log monitoring like Kibana/Grafanna and Infrastructure monitoring using OEM is a plus.
- Ability to engage in discussions and convincing technical arguments with development teams & customers.
- Awareness and knowledge of networking and latency considerations for different workloads
- Experience in understanding regulatory and enterprise security considerations and designing solutions factoring such considerations
- Strong written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 3 year of software engineering or related experience.
