Job Description:
We are partnering with a leading national retailer on their search for an experienced Cloud Engineer specializing in Microsoft Azure. This organization is well-regarded for its commitment to innovation and operational excellence, serving a diverse customer base across the country. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative technology team, driving cloud solutions that are integral to the company's digital infrastructure.
This will be for an initial six (6) month contract with a high likelihood of extension or conversion to permanent.
Role Overview:
As a Cloud Engineer with expertise in Azure, you will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and optimizing Azure cloud environments. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams to build secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions that align with the business's growth strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy Azure cloud solutions that ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
- Automate provisioning and management of Azure resources using scripts and tools.
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and other technical teams to enhance cloud infrastructure.
- Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud systems to meet operational goals.
- Enforce cloud compliance and security practices in alignment with industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers on Azure best practices and contribute to the technical team's growth.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a Cloud Engineer role with deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in Azure services (e.g., Azure Active Directory, Virtual Machines, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL Database).
- Strong scripting abilities with Terraform.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and identity management.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Relevant Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400) are highly desirable.
This client needs the successful to Azure Cloud Engineer to work onsite for 3-4 days per week.
