Datacenter/On-prem system engineering knowledge for both windows and linux is a huge plus.
Current Planning:
Operations (PowerBI Dashboard)
• Java upgrade on VMs
• Azure cost optimizations
o Default dashboard used to see what cost optimization suggestions there are
• Verify NOK servers
o If Insights (=cloud infra partner) -> Contact them to improve
o Check vulnerabilities of applications running on this server -> Contact dev teams to resolve these
o Patch/update services
• Migrate on-prem Bitbucket (and Jenkins) to Azure DevOps
o Improve pipelines
o Improve governance
o Guide the dev teams during this migration
o Analyse what they currently use and need in Jenkins to decide how to migrate to Azure DevOps
• Joined venture with the internal Atlassian team
Tickets (ServiceNow)
• Request from the dev team regarding an Azure Function CPU issue
• Investigate Azure resources migration issue, moving from 1 subscription to another results in a timeout for 1 specific resource group
o Create a Microsoft support request
POSSIBLE FUTURE TAKS
• Migrate VMs and applications from old the Active Directory to the new Active Directory
• Support dev teams in application modernization
