As a Risk Coordinator working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in data management support to optimize risk analysis and risk management. Working on our large-scale projects - ranging from $1.5 million to $1 billion - you will be responsible for managing the risk database, supporting the team with projection analyses, and facilitating the interface with risk-related IT systems.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate and organize documentation and meetings related to Risk Assessments and relevant outcomes
- Update the project’s risk register and communicate relevant updates to key stakeholders
- Participate in Risk Management Model (RM3) related activities including audit coordination
- Provide support during inspections or audits by Contracting Authorities
- Coordinate risk management tasks as assigned between risk and compliance team
- Participate in the overall continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions process
- Understand and comply with risk, compliance, and safety policies and ensure compliance with same
- Understand and maintain regular and ad hoc risk and compliance reporting processes
- Support in continuous improvement
- Ensure reliable, effective collaboration with all stakeholders
- Abide by best practices in accordance with regulation and industry trends
- Engage and provide support to risk and compliance projects as required
- Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
This role could be for you if you have
- A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Analytics, Statistics or related field
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM) desirable or
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Experience working with or applying AACE recommended practices in respect to risk and contingency development
- 3-4 year experience in risk management ideally in the rail industry or related fields
- Experience in working in large, complex projects
- Strong knowledge of Risk and Compliance principles as well as legal regulations preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Advance Excel, Outlook and Power Point.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $70,000 - $95,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
