Summary/Objective:
Samson is a global leading manufacturer of control valves and associated instrumentation, smart devices, and solutions for various process industries such as chemical, petrochemical, food & beverage, industrial gases, as well as many others.
The Lead Compliance Engineer will work within the Product Development and Management department and work alongside the product design and product management teams. The main responsibilities will include reviewing product design, managing product compliance to various industry and customer standards, and upholding product safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and confirm compliance of product designs from the product design engineering team.
- Ensure compliance of products to various local standards, such as ASME, ASTM, ISA, ISO, API, FCI, etc.
- Manage product safety for special applications, such as oxygen service, SIL, PFAS, etc.
- Represent SAMSON in industry associations and standards working groups.
- Support research activities with partner universities as required.
- Support in other engineering-related tasks as required.
Competencies:
- Proficient in CAD tools (predominantly SolidWorks) and MS Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of ASME BPVC, API, and other associated design codes
- Understanding of fluid dynamics, mechanics, and thermodynamics
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a leadership role is preferred
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a related mechanical engineering design field
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
